1. Program Description

If you register or sign in to SOP Dating using a phone number, we send you one-time verification codes (OTP) and account-security/recovery codes by SMS through our messaging provider, Twilio. These are transactional messages required to create, secure, and recover your account. This is not a marketing program, and we do not send promotional SMS.

2. Consent

By entering your phone number as your account identifier (or for account recovery) and requesting a code, you consent to receive these account-related SMS messages at that number. Providing your number for this purpose is necessary to use phone-based sign-in; you may instead use an email address to receive codes by email.

3. Message Types

• Account sign-up verification codes;
• Sign-in / re-authentication codes;
• Account-recovery codes;
• Security notifications related to your account.

4. Message Frequency

Message frequency depends on your sign-up, sign-in, and recovery activity — you receive a code only when you request one or when a security event requires it.

5. Cost

Message and data rates may apply, charged by your mobile carrier. We do not charge you for these messages.

6. Opt-Out

You can stop these messages at any time by replying STOP. Because these are security messages, opting out may prevent you from verifying or recovering your account by SMS; you can switch to email-based codes instead. Reply START to resume.

8. Supported Carriers

Supported carriers include major US mobile networks (and additional networks in other launch markets). Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and is not guaranteed.
