This policy explains how to delete your SOP Dating account and personal data, what we delete, and what we may retain.

1. How to Delete Your Account and Data

Option A — In the app (recommended)

1. Open SOP Dating.
2. Go to My Profile → Settings → Delete My Account.
3. When prompted, type DELETE to confirm. The confirm button stays inactive until you do.
4. Confirm. Your account is scheduled for deletion and you are returned to the sign-in screen.

(Apple requires that account deletion be initiable from within the app. This flow satisfies it.)

Option B — By web request

If you cannot access the app, email us at privacy@sopdating.com and provide the email address or phone number associated with your account so we can verify your identity.

Option C — By email

Email privacy@sopdating.com from your registered address with the subject "Delete My Account."

2. What Gets Deleted

Once your deletion request is verified, we delete or irreversibly anonymize the personal data associated with your account, including:

• Profile information (display name, date of birth, gender, sexual preference, height, about, hobbies);
• Your profile photo(s);
• Your approximate and precise location data;
• Your conversations and the content of your messages;
• Your waves, matches, and blocks;
• Your wallet balance and entitlements;
• Any identity-verification material you submitted;
• Your notification tokens and preferences.

Your messages to other members are removed from your account and replaced with a neutral placeholder for the other participant, so their conversation view is not broken.

3. Data We May Retain

We may retain limited information after deletion where required or permitted by law:

Retained data is limited to what is strictly necessary and is deleted when its purpose is fulfilled.

4. Premium Subscriptions

Deleting your SOP Dating account does not by itself cancel an active Premium subscription billed by Apple or Google. To stop future charges, also cancel the subscription in your Apple or Google account settings. Refunds, if any, follow Apple's and Google's policies.

5. Timeline

• Deletion initiates within 10 seconds of your confirmation.
• Personal data is fully removed within 30 days.
• Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged on a rolling basis and cleared within 90 days.

Requests from residents of jurisdictions with statutory deadlines (e.g., California, EEA/UK) are honored within the timeframe required by the applicable law.

6. Effect of Deletion

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You lose access to your profile, matches, conversations, word balance, and any verification status. If you sign up again later with the same identifier, it is treated as a new account.
