1. Our Position
SOP Entertainment LLC has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). SOP Dating is an adults-only (18+) dating and networking service. Children are not permitted to use it under any circumstances.
We prohibit, and act against, any use of our service to:
- Create, store, share, solicit, or distribute child sexual abuse material (CSAM);
- Sexualize a minor in any way, including in text, images, profiles, or messages;
- Groom, solicit, lure, or sexually extort a minor;
- Traffic a minor or facilitate their sexual exploitation;
- Promote, normalize, or advertise any of the above.
This applies to all content and conduct on the service — profiles, photos, display names, bios, waves, and private messages.
2. Scope and Definitions
- Minor / child: any person under 18 years of age.
- CSAM: any visual depiction of sexually explicit conduct involving a minor.
- CSAE: the broader category including CSAM, grooming, sextortion, minor sexualization, and trafficking.
- Member: a registered user of SOP Dating.
These Standards apply to every member, everywhere the service is available, and form part of our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines. Violating them results in immediate account termination and, where applicable, a report to law enforcement.
3. Preventing Minors From Accessing the Service
Age gate at sign-up. Every member must provide a date of birth at registration. Any date of birth indicating an age under 18 blocks account creation — no account record is created. Date of birth is immutable after sign-up and cannot be edited by the member.
Age-restricted distribution. The app is rated and listed for adults only (17+ on the App Store; Adults-only/18+ content rating on Google Play), and is described as an adults-only dating service.
Account verification. Every account must verify ownership of a real email address or phone number by one-time passcode before it becomes active, raising the cost of creating throwaway accounts.
Optional identity verification. Members may complete an optional identity-verification flow and receive a verified badge. We may require verification of an account where age or identity is in doubt.
Ongoing enforcement. If we learn or reasonably suspect that a member is under 18 — through a report, moderation review, or any other signal — we suspend the account immediately, block access, and delete the associated data in accordance with law.
4. Prohibited Content and Conduct
The following result in immediate, permanent removal from SOP Dating:
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| CSAM | Any sexualized imagery of a minor, real or computer-generated, including AI-generated or "virtual" depictions. |
| Minor sexualization | Sexualized text about minors; sexualized depictions of minors in profile photos, bios, or messages. |
| Grooming / solicitation | Attempting to build a sexual relationship with a minor, or soliciting sexual content or contact from a minor. |
| Sextortion | Threatening to release intimate imagery of a minor to coerce them. |
| Trafficking | Advertising, recruiting, or arranging the sexual exploitation of a minor. |
| Underage accounts | Any account belonging to a person under 18. |
| Facilitation | Linking to, advertising, or directing members to off-platform CSAE material or services. |
5. Detection and Moderation
- In-app reporting. Every member can report another member from their Profile View or from within a conversation. Report reasons include "Underage / suspected minor" and "Inappropriate photos." Reports route immediately to our moderation queue.
- Blocking. Any member can block another member instantly; the block takes effect across discovery, waves, and conversations.
- Human review. A trained moderation team reviews reports through our admin console. Reports naming a suspected minor or possible CSAE are escalated to the highest priority and reviewed ahead of the general queue.
- Content review. Uploaded content is subject to human moderation, and all reports are prioritized and reviewed by our team, with suspected-minor and CSAE reports escalated ahead of the general queue. We do not currently use automated hash-matching, and we are actively evaluating dedicated CSAM-detection providers (such as Google's Child Safety Toolkit and Thorn's Safer) to add proactive screening.
- Pattern signals. Repeated reports against the same account, or repeated failed verification attempts, are surfaced to moderators for review.
- Rate limiting. Per-account and per-IP limits at the edge mitigate automated abuse of the waving and messaging systems.
6. Enforcement Actions
When we confirm a CSAE violation, we:
- Immediately terminate the offending account and block re-registration where technically feasible;
- Preserve the relevant content, account records, and associated metadata as evidence, in accordance with legal-preservation obligations;
- Remove the violating content from the service;
- Report to the appropriate authority (Section 7);
- Log the action in our immutable audit log.
We do not issue warnings for CSAE violations. Enforcement is immediate and permanent.
7. Reporting to Authorities
SOP Entertainment LLC is a United States company (Massachusetts). As a provider of an electronic communication service, we report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through the CyberTipline, as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A, and we preserve related material for the period required by law.
Where members are located outside the United States, we cooperate with the relevant national authority or hotline (for example, the Internet Watch Foundation in the UK, or the applicable INHOPE member hotline) and with law enforcement requests that are valid under applicable law.
We do not notify the reported account of the referral where doing so would compromise an investigation.
8. Point of Contact
We maintain a designated child-safety contact who is responsible for these Standards and for responding to CSAE reports, regulator inquiries, and law-enforcement requests:
Child Safety Point of Contact
SOP Entertainment LLC
243 Itasca Street, Mattapan, MA 02126, USA
Anyone — member or non-member — may contact this address to report suspected CSAE on SOP Dating.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact emergency services (911 in the US) first. In the US, you can also report directly to the NCMEC CyberTipline at CyberTipline.org or 1-800-843-5678.
9. Team Training and Governance
- Moderators are trained to recognize CSAE indicators, including grooming behavior and age-misrepresentation signals, and to escalate without delay.
- Access to reported content is restricted, role-based, MFA-protected, and recorded in an audit log. Moderators access private content only as tied to an active report or ticket.
- We review these Standards at least annually, and after any material change to the product, applicable law, or platform policy.
- Where we use a third-party verification or content-scanning provider, we assess its child-safety practices before onboarding.
10. Compliance With Platform and Legal Requirements
We comply with:
- Google Play Developer Program Policies, including the Child Safety Standards policy and Inappropriate Content policy;
- Apple App Store Review Guidelines, including 1.1.4 (safety — objectionable content), 1.2 (user-generated content: filtering, in-app reporting, user blocking, and published contact information), and 5.1 (privacy);
- 18 U.S.C. § 2258A (mandatory NCMEC reporting) and 18 U.S.C. § 2251 et seq.;
- The PROTECT Act and other applicable US federal and Massachusetts law;
- Applicable child-safety and data-protection laws in the jurisdictions where we operate.
